Refrigeration Engineer

Job Description

Refrigeration Engineer (Ammonia)

We are looking for a refrigeration engineer with ammonia and electrical experience, to service our two sites situated in Victoria (Roche) Cornwall.

About The Role

As refrigeration Engineer you will be responsible for covering all general maintenance of refrigeration systems this includes everything from freezers to general cold rooms, two pumped ammonia plants servicing our plate freezer, spiral blast freezers and various Freon refrigeration packs that service our process area cooling. You will also be required to assist with general factory repairs to fish processing equipment and service works on our fishing trawlers.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified in industrial refrigeration OR have the relevant experience
  • Ammonia experience is absolute
  • Basic electrical training (desirable)
  • Flexible to turn a hand to mechanical where needed
  • Safe handling of ammonia certificate E.g. 2097 refrigerant handling ACRIB, Ammonia
  • F Gas certificate
  • UK drivers’ licence is essential for the role
  • Must have “Right to work in UK “ NO Sponsorship

We are a family-owned fishing and processing import-export business with a fishing heritage dating back to 1740. We process fish from our own boats and local markets for wholesale and retail customers. Our packing operation is based in Roche, 5 minutes outside of St Austell. Factory Hygiene Operatives

We have 2 vacancies for Factory Hygiene Operatives in our Wholesale Factory. Hours of work will be full time evenings and some weekend working may be required. This will involve working within a small team and liaising with the Production Department. Ideally you will have had hygiene experience, however training will be given to the right person. There are plenty of opportunities for career advancement in the factory for those who are enthusiastic and willing to learn.
